OmbraSociale.it comes to the 2025 Venice Biennale

We are proud to announce that Ombra Sociale has been selected to take part in the 2025 Venice Biennale, one of the most prestigious international events dedicated to contemporary art, architecture and culture.

The project, born on the beaches of Salento to promote an inclusive way of enjoying the sea, will be presented as an innovative example of how public space, community and social sustainability can connect.

Ombra Sociale pursues a simple but concrete idea: to make the beach experience accessible to everyone, reducing financial and physical barriers while also enhancing the natural and cultural heritage of our coasts.

At the Biennale, Ombra Sociale will present a journey built on three pillars

• Universal accessibility: practical tools to build tourism that is fairer and truly open to everyone.
• Community participation: active involvement of local associations and citizens.
• Enhancing the local area: bringing together seafaring tradition and a new social and sustainable vision.

Being there is an important milestone, but also a starting point: bringing ideas born in Salento to an international setting means opening a dialogue with architects, artists and innovators from all over the world.

Ombra Sociale at the 2025 Venice Biennale is not just a symbolic presence, but a concrete sign of how even small communities can put forward inclusive, replicable models for the future, able to inspire other coastal and urban communities.
